Experimentation

Here's my first experimentation animating my character!

I added in a photo background as a temporary fill. My goal was to gain confidence working with the After Effects program and apply the Disney Principles of Animation to my cat character. I did so by adding a sense of realism through the movement of the head and torso during the different phases of the cat walking. As he strided, the torso and head moved down. As his legs crossed, they moved upwards.

To help gain an understanding of the movements required, I have created a number of templates for my characters action sequences in my animation that I will constantly reference. Here are a few examples-
